The Arizer Air II, A Second-Generation Classic!

Arizer is renowned for their manufacturing quality and the Air 2 doesn’t disappoint. The fit and finish of the device and the materials used in its construction are top of the line…and it shows.

The addition of a high quality 18650 battery gives the Air II a lot of punch, taking about 75 seconds to get the oven temperature from room temperature to 220 degrees C, and an operating time of about 90 minutes to keeping you vaping. The battery can also be charged while you use the Air 2, which is an awesome feature.

Up from 5 presets. Digital control, the Arizer Solo 2 received the same nice upgrade. The Arizer 2 heats up faster and the open airflow makes for slightly denser clouds at full bore than the original Air.

The pocket-friendly Air 2 is super easy to use with simple +/- and menu buttons to control temperature and adjust the power-on time, off-time, volume, display brightness, and the temperature scale (C or F). The glass stems provide a clean, flavourful vape.

What We Like About The Arizer Air 2

For the most part, the Air 2 is a lot like its predecessor, the Arizer Air. The first thing you’ll notice is the new digital screen. Temperature control is now super precise with the digital control compared to the original Air’s 5 settings with button navigation.

The Air 2’s footprint stays the same size, and it’s still powered by the switchable 18650 battery. The new battery does have a higher capacity, giving you a slight performance boost over the original.

The display screen is very simple. It shows the temperature and battery level. Below the screen are three buttons which are used for temperature controls, powering the device and selecting Fahrenheit or Celsius. You can also adjust the brightness if you want to go full-stealth mode.

In the spirit of “not fixing it if it ain’t broken” The heating chamber and glass vapor pathway haven’t really changed and you still load it up the same way. Other than the more powerful heater, this device has retained its original charm and function…this is a good thing!

Temperature Flexibility

Temperature control on the Arizer Air 2 has been significantly improved with the digital display control. The original Air left you with 5 presets and a maximum temperature of 210 degrees Celsius…the Air 2 gives you 220 degrees Celsius with exact-degree temperature control throughout its range! This upgrade goes to the Arizer Solo 2 as well.

Vapor Quality

The vapor quality of the Air 2 is just as good as the original. For the best vaping experience, we recommend that your be well dried. The vapor is flavorful and smooth, although it’s not as dense as some other vaporizers can deliver. The heater upgrade does produce a slightly more dense cloud and the draw-restriction has improved slightly.

Manufacturing Quality

As with all Arizer products, the craftsmanship is very good. Arizer has taken a well built vaporizer and gave it a slight upgrade. Why reinvent the wheel? Arizer’s parts are also reasonably priced which is a big plus with us.

Arizer Air 2 Battery Life

The Air 2’s battery life is definitely better. In our testing we got around 6 sessions of approximately 13 minutes each on a full charge. This was at the max temperature setting. Fully charging the device took close to an hour and a half after running at maximum temp. The USB charger means you can charge it anywhere and pass-through charging means that you can use it while it’s charging.

Portability

This isn’t the stealthiest vaporizer in our quiver, but it’s definitely portable. The increased battery life helps in the portability category too! I like to pre-pack a couple of stems and use the included caps to keep everything in place while I’m on the go. We recommend purchasing a travel case to keep your unit protected when you are traveling.

Ease of Use

The Air 2 is very easy to use. The display is user friendly, and a couple of clicks is all it takes to power it up and adjust your settings. This is a great device for those new to vaping…just set and forget.

Discreetness

We love Arizer’s products, but they aren’t the most discreet. The glass stem protruding from the unit might catch an eye or two depending where you are. This is more of a personal choice for vapers and we feel that once portable vaporizers get too small, you lose battery performance.

This is a great upgrade to an old standard. We like the simplicity, durability and logical upgrades. We’ve always been happy to carry Arizer products, and the replacement parts won’t break the bank.
