When it comes to portable dry herb vapes, the Arizer Solo Vaporizer has earned its place as one of the most popular portable vapes on the market. These vaporizers are some popular that Arizer remodeled them, releasing the Arizer Solo 2 in 2017. We have these new Solos in stock and great deals on our remaining inventory of the original Solo vaporizers. No matter which model you choose, you are sure to love the solid construction and incredible vapor quality these units offer.
Since it’s release, the Arizer Solo Vaporizer has been praised for offering some of the best vapor quality of any device in its price point. The Solo’s tasty vapor is on par with a desktop unit and the long glass mouthpiece helps to preserve the flavor of your bud while also giving the vapor time to cool.
One thing that is worth noting about the Solo is its size. Unlike some other portables on the market, the Solo does not have a rectangular cross section. These cylindrical vaporizers are powerful, but not very pocketable. The easiest size analog for these vapes is a small can of Red Bull, as they measure about 11.4 x 4.3 cm. The Solo 2 is slightly smaller and a little lighter, though it still has a nice heft. While this might be a dealbreaker for some users, these vapes are a great option for anyone who is carrying a bag that they can keep it in. We also offer a convenient belt holster for anyone who wants to keep their Solo ready at a moment’s notice.
Using the Arizer Solo Vaporizer is extremely simple. The vape itself heats up in about a minute for the Solo 2 and about 90 seconds for the original Solo. On the original model you have 7 heat settings while the new models have a LED screen where you can dial in the perfect temperature. You can even program custom temperature settings on the Solo II so it will progress between a range of temperatures from low to high automatically during your session. Both of these vapes also feature a convenient 12 minute shutoff so you won’t waste battery life if you forget to turn it off after a session.
Once your vape has heated up, all you have to do is insert the stem. All of the glass draw tubes all terminate in a small herb chamber. You simply pack this herb chamber and insert it into the preheated ceramic heating chamber and start to draw. The draw resistance on the original Solo is like drinking a thick milkshake. The Solo 2 has slightly more airflow than the original, but retains a bit of the draw resistance. This helps to produce a thick and flavorful vapor.
Like any vaporizer, the lower heat settings on the Solo is going to produce the most flavorful terpene heavy hits. These early wispier hits offer an incredible flavor and, as the temperature is increased, users will get to enjoy the thick flavorful vapor. Around the middle to higher end of the original temperature settings or around 200 degrees C on the newer models, you will begin to toast the bud and get the signature “burnt popcorn” taste of a spent bowl. When this point is reached you can repack your stem and drop the heat or turn of the unit and complete your session.
One concern a lot of vape users have is battery life. Luckily the large size of these vapes leaves plenty of room for the internal LiPo battery pack. The Original Solo has a battery that will last for about 2 hours of continuous use, providing roughly 10 full 12 minute sessions per charge. The new Solo 2 provides about 3 hours of use or 15 sessions per charge.
Both the original Arizer Solo Vaporizer and the new Solo 2 are great options for anyone looking to take a powerful vaporizer with them on the go. Even though they are not the most portable vapes on the market, they will provide some of the tastiest vapor possible from a portable vaporizer. Both of these vapes offer the same size creative heating element so original Solo users can keep their draw stems as backups when they upgrade to the Solo 2.
We currently have both of these vaporizers in stock, though our inventory of original Arizer Solo Vaporizers is limited. No matter which model you choose, we know you’ll love these powerful and easy to use portables.
